Ornaments
Nature offers a wonderous variety of items to be used as holiday tree ornaments.

Tiny wreaths can be made by using various twigs, and decorated with dried seed heads and flowers.

Fallen birch bark makes a great back drop to write the year on then frame it with some cinnamon sticks and a ribbon bow.

The seed pods from milk weed, after the seeds have gone, make great little ornaments to.  Create a little nature scene inside with small dried flowers.  Or cut a picture to fit inside, add a ribbon to hang.  This is a great craft for children!

A Gift For A Fireplace Owner
Collect pinecones and small twigs.  Using pruners, trim twigs to the same length.  Dip pinecones in used, melted candle wax and set on wax paper to dry.  Bundle twigs and tie with raffia or twine.  Place these in a basket and fill with the pinecones.  Add a box of matches.  This makes a wonderful gift for anyone that has a fireplace.
Baskets and matches are available at dollar stores.  Baskets may even be able to be picked up cheeper than a dollar store at a second hand store.
